Pay your vehicle licence transfer fees

After you buy a vehicle, you need to pay the transfer fee and vehicle licence duty within 28 days.

Once you have transferred the vehicle鈥檚 licence or via the , the Department of Transport will send you an invoice for the amount.

You can pay by . To pay the fees online, enter the account number from bottom right hand corner of the invoice.

If you don鈥檛 have an account number, you can use your driver鈥檚 licence number.
