Information, support and resources for skilled migrants
The WA Migration Services website offers a range of useful information, support and resources for skilled migrants wishing to move to 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ.
State nomination
The State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) allows the 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ to nominate eligible skilled migrants for the Skilled nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled work regional (provisional) visa (subclass 491) for priority occupations.
°Â´¡â€™s&²Ô²ú²õ±è;State Nominated Migration Program targets those skilled jobs that genuinely require overseas workers, where local workers cannot be sourced.
The program works in conjunction with other workforce development mechanisms to help ensure employers have access to the skills they need.
The SNMP offers two streams:
- General stream — A skilled migration pathway for a range of occupations and industry categories.
- Graduate stream — A skilled migration pathway for eligible international students who are completing vocational education and training (VET) or higher education qualifications in WA.
Overseas qualifications assessment
Our Overseas Qualification Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have a tertiary or higher education qualification/s recognised, which may assist migrants to secure employment in WA's workforce.

Our friendly Settlement Services team can provide free information and referral services for skilled migrants, assisting you to establish your life and get settled in WA.
Skilled Migration Job Connect
Skilled Migration Job Connect (Job Connect) is a new initiative supporting migrants to overcome barriers to secure sustainable employment in WA's workforce.
Skilled Migrant Employment Register
Our new free Skilled Migrant Employment Register (SMER) connects employers with job opportunities for skilled migrants, to build WA's workforce.

Construction Migration Office
The Construction Migration Office (CMO) is a new service providing comprehensive support for building and construction sector employers in 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ looking to hire skilled migrants, and for migrants seeking to move to WA to work in the sector.
Our dedicated team provides end-to-end support, aiding in registering available jobs, offering educational resources, and connecting you to existing services.
Construction Visa Subsidy Program
Through the new Construction Visa Subsidy Program (CVSP), the State Government is supporting WA employers to engage skilled workers.
The $11 million program provides employers with grants to offset the costs of supporting skilled migrants to fill jobs in WA's building and construction industry,
Regional Certifying Body advice
The Department of Training and Workforce Development, through WA Migration Services, is an approved Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) Regional Certifying Body (RCB) for WA.
