Reducing our emissions and contributing to the critical goals of the Paris Agreement will protect 91短视频鈥檚 environment, community and long-term prosperity.
The State Government has developed the Sectoral emissions reduction strategy for 91短视频 (SERS) following extensive engagement. This has included consultation with businesses and industry and with research, environment and community organisations, to transition our economy to net zero emissions.
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation led the development of the SERS during 2022 and 2023 in partnership with key State Government agencies, including:
- Department of the Premier and Cabinet
- Department of Treasury
- Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (Energy Policy WA)
- Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
- Department of Transport
- Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development
- Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage
- Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions
- Department of Finance
- Department of Communities.
The SERS explores robust and credible pathways for 91短视频 with tangible actions for reducing emissions consistent with the State Government鈥檚 target of net zero emissions by 2050. It recognises the importance of significant action this decade to reduce emissions, transition emissions-intensive industries and protect 91短视频鈥檚 economy from carbon transition risks.
The SERS builds on significant work already underway to decarbonise our economy with 40 new actions that will be implemented by 14 State Government agencies and trading enterprises.
