Kindness Travels

This campaign encourages all road users to bring back the courtesy wave – a wave or a nod of the head, to acknowledge another driver’s courtesy and your appreciation of it.

The 4th phase of Kindness Travels commenced Sunday 31 July, and runs through to 1 October

The goal of Kindness Travels is to encourage road users to acknowledge each other on the roads - a courtesy wave, or a nod of the head. The message is to empower all road users to take ownership of courtesy on the roads, creating a sense of unity and respect amongst motorists, motorcyclists, bike riders and pedestrians – Kindness Travels.

The campaign utilises a state-wide multi-media approach across television, radio, press digital and out-of-home advertising. The aim is for mainstream media to engage the community as third party road safety ambassadors. They not only deliver the messages but own them – maximising the reach to their audience networks.
