Geraldton is the largest city north of Perth, housing most of the region’s population. The growing port city attracts many visitors who are drawn to its natural beauty and relaxed lifestyle.
There are a number of ancient shipwrecks among the reefs, some of which lie 2,500 metres deep on the ocean floor. The most notable was the Batavia which sank in 1629.
