In 2020, the Australian Human Rights Commission handed down the , which outlines 55 recommendations for government, industry and the community to end workplace sexual harassment.
The national website brings together a comprehensive set of resources to support individuals and organisations to better understand, prevent and address workplace sexual harassment. You will find information, videos, advice, good practice guides, education and training programs and workplace-assessment tools.

Enough is Enough
The 2021 Parliamentary Inquiry Report exposed significant sexual violence towards women in the mining industry. 24 recommendations were made to improve the mining industry culture and regulatory framework.
The Government considered in detail the recommendations of the Enough is Enough Report and provided a in which it supports in total or in principle, all 15 recommendations directed to it for implementation.
The Government also created the Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) Program a whole-of-Government initiative to improve the mental health, workplace culture and safety in the mining industry.
A subsequent was tabled in parliament on 29 November 2022. The Minister for Women鈥檚 Interests continues to work with the Minister for Industrial Relations on the implementation of the recommendations.
Mental Awareness Respect and Safety (MARS) Program
The Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) Program is a whole-of-Government initiative to improve the mental health, workplace culture and safety of workers and others in the mining industry.
The MARS Program is a collaborative initiative involving the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, the Mental Health Commission, the Equal Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Communities. To find out more about the MARS Program, visit the MARS Program website.
