The Hydrogen Blending Project (the project) enables the delivery of up to 2% hydrogen (v/v) blended natural gas to approximately 2700 residential and commercial gas consumers located in the estates of Glen Iris, Calleya and Treeby.
Last updated:
  • The commissioning of the project satisfied one of the four WA Renewable Hydrogen Strategy goals for 2022, that renewable hydrogen is distributed in a 91¶ÌÊÓƵn gas network.
  • The Hydrogen Blending Project is one of the largest of its kind in 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.
  • The estimated reduction in CO2 over the project’s trial period will be 21.4 tonnes.

The project further advanced local skills development and let to key learnings for the 91¶ÌÊÓƵn hydrogen industry.
