A total of 18 applications were approved for the 2024-25 financial year Aboriginal Business Round with successful businesses sharing $719,426 in funding to enhance their capabilities.
The level of funding support under the Aboriginal Business Round for 2024-25 was 50% of eligible costs (excluding GST) up to a maximum funding level of $50,000 per successful applicant.
The 2024-25 Aboriginal Business Round supported a variety of equipment and business enhancements, including the purchase of specialised vehicles such as a Toyota Hiace and an excavator, as well as machinery like embroidery and filling machines.
Funding was also approved for the setup of a telehealth facility, drone purchases with training, and tools for site work, such as a bobcat, backhoe and vacuum trailer.
Additionally, investments in technology, such as SharePoint system setup, data migration and integration with Xero, have been supported to improve business operations.
