That鈥檚 why we partnered with the Department of Treasury and Finance to develop Technical and Leadership Capabilities for CFOs, a bespoke program that is building the leadership capabilities, technical skills and professional networks of the sector鈥檚 CFOs.

鈥淚 wish I had done the program the moment that I stepped into the role,鈥 Ahmed shares.
鈥淚t鈥檚 moved me up from a compliance focus to be a more strategic CFO and I鈥檓 already applying everything that I learned.
鈥淚t is no longer about me always having the solutions, it's about teaching people and empowering my team.鈥
Ahmed also appreciates the connections he made, building a network of public sector CFOs where ideas are shared and common challenges tackled.
鈥淵ou also learn from the CFOs from other agencies by hearing the real problems they face and how they solve them.
鈥淏ecause we are all in the same boat, dealing with similar challenges, having that network and shared knowledge is very valuable,鈥 he says.
