Cyclist Seriously Injured - Rottnest Island

Rottnest Police responded to an incident that occurred on Rottnest Island on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.
 
About 5.00pm, emergency services received a report that an overseas tourist had fallen from a bicycle on Digby Drive in the Thompson Bay area.
 
Police and Rottnest Island Nursing Post staff attended and located a 38-year-old woman who had sustained serious, life-threatening head injuries.
 
The woman was flown from the island by RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.
 
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
